Directions to Our Entrance

From Minneapolis, MN

A 90-minute drive from the Twin Cities. Take I-35 north to Exit 165 to Hwy. 70 east. Go through Alpha and turn right on County Road M, and proceed 4.3 miles to The Wilderness entrance on your left. It will be directly across from the M-Y Road. Turn left into The  Wilderness Entrance. Follow the signs to the office to check-in for your reservation.  See Printable Maps & Directions.

From Frederic, WI

A 13-minute (10 mile) drive from Frederic. Take Hwy. 48 west to County Road “M,” turn right on “M” and go 2.3 miles to Wilderness Rd. Turn right into The Wilderness. Follow the signs to the office to check-in for your reservation. See Printable Maps & Directions.

Text Our Entrance Coordinates to Phone Google Map App

You can send the location of The Wilderness Fellowship entrance (Google Pin at the intersection of County Road M and M-Y) to your smartphone and get custom directions, distance and estimated travel time to our entrance from anywhere you are located! To get started:

  • Click on the Google Map Directions button, below, from your computer, before you leave home.

  • From your phone text message, click on the Google Map link.  If the Google Map App has not been installed on your phone, follow the Google Map App installation instructions.  If the Google Map App has already been installed on your phone, the link will go to a Google Map showing the map roads entrance to The Wilderness Fellowship at 22000 Co Hwy M.
  • From that Google Map, click the Directions icon button and enter your From location.  When you click on Steps, the Google Map App will display line-by-line custom directions from your location to our entrance location!  Don’t forget to take your smartphone with you with cellular data activated!  Click the blue Start button when you are ready to travel.
