The “Embrace” prayer cabin.
Many recall the feeling of a loving embrace from a parent, grandparent, husband, wife or a good friend etc. There is nothing like a safe, secure, strong embrace from one whom you know truly loves you. Who better to wrap you in His loving arms than Jesus? From before the cabin was even completed the Embrace of Jesus was being felt. Larry, our skilled builder who diligently worked on each detail of the Embrace prayer cabin, said to me that while working on this cabin he daily felt His Embrace growing in and around him. I know of no greater comfort or feeling than to be in the Embrace of safety and security. It’s a place of true rest! It is a place of security! It is a place of restoration! It’s a place of hope!
This is what we desire for you when you come to the Embrace prayer cabin. Graham Cook said, “There is a Rest in the Lord so potent that the enemy fears it! Rest is a weapon against evil”. So, we invite you to come and rest in His Embrace. His arms are always open and will never fail. Sit by the warmth of the fire and feel His strong arms surround you. Jesus said “Come to me all who are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” Let this prayer cabin be a place where you choose to climb up into the lap and loving arms of The One who saw you… and chose you….bearing our sin, and inviting us to come to Him.
We hope you enjoy His Embrace!
The Embrace Prayer Cabin is a custom built, stick framed building tucked into the woods and set not far off the newly constructed road feeding the prayer cabin village. With its “single level” floor plan it feels roomy and is easily accessible. The screen porch is accessible from the inside of the cabin. It boasts white washed walls, a beautiful gas fireplace, a mini-split air source heat pump unit to provide both heating and air-conditioning, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, coffee maker, a few basic dishes, silverware, a sink and water jug for drinking and cooking needs, and miscellaneous utensils.
To make your stay as comfortable as possible a queen-sized bed, table and chairs, glider rocker and a comfortable twin sleeper chair are provided.
A very modern, well lit, heated pit toilet is close to the cabin but also a fully modern bathroom with shower is a few hundred feet away. View a photo tour of our shower house and outhouses.
Parking for your car is about 50’ from the cabin with a level path leading right to the front porch.
There is a fire ring area that the Prayer Cabin guests can share up past the shower house and firewood for campfires is available for purchase on site. Check with the office.
Comfortable clothing to meet your indoor and outdoor needs. As a point of health and consideration for all guests, please bring ONLY freshly washed and machine-dried bed linens, blankets, sleeping bag, and cases on pillows. We suggest slippers, towels and personal care items, simple food that can be cooked in the microwave, a flashlight, reading material, and a Bible. The bed is queen size.
Many of the prayer cabins has been provided for by a specific family in honor or memory of a loved one. These families have provided/donated all the necessary funds and input to build the cabin. We work closely with each family to create a cabin fitting to our call and mission. You could also invest in hundreds of people’s lives by funding a cabin. Please contact Randy if interested.
Modern, lighted, heated, no smell outhouses are located close by. Also, there is a fully modern shower house and flush toilets that serves the whole prayer cabins village. See photos of the modern shower house and outhouses.
