Prayer Cabins for Personal Prayer Retreats

“I will take my children into the wilderness and there I will speak tenderly to them. I will restore their fruitfulness and turn their valley of trouble into a door of hope.” Hosea 2:14-15a

“Jesus withdrew to the wilderness and prayed.” Luke 5:16

As God used the wilderness experience to teach, train and speak tenderly to the children of Israel, so it is our desire that you will sense God’s tender voice speaking to you. Therefore, the purpose for the prayer cabins is to provide a place where you can seek an ever-growing and deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus, as you bask in the beauty of God’s creation. As you come for a time of reflection, study and quietness before our wonderful Lord, it is our prayer that you will leave this place refreshed and renewed, having heard God’s tender voice and feeling a new sense of hope, purpose and commitment to God’s loving call on your life.

Cabin Information

These prayer cabins are handcrafted and are beautifully situated on a heavily wooded hillside. The screened porches provide serene closeness to the beauty of nature, while plenty of windows in each cabin give the feeling of living in the woods. Seasonal changes offer a marvelous view of nature that only our Creator could provide.

As you can see in the photos, our prayer cabins are gorgeous! Cabins are equipped basically the same and are available all four seasons. They have electric heat, air-conditioning, microwave oven, toaster, small refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes, silverware, sink and water jug for drinking and cooking needs, and miscellaneous utensils. Each cabin can accommodate a maximum of two people, and comes equipped with a queen-size bed, table and chairs, rocker and futon or other fold-down bed.

Although prayer cabins do not have indoor plumbing, we do have a new, modern shower house and heated, tiled, clean, no-smell outhouses nearby! Check out our new shower house and our prayer cabin outhouses!

To access some prayer cabins, a short downhill hike is required.

There is a fire ring area that the Prayer Cabin guests can share and firewood for campfires is available for purchase on site. Check with the office.

FAQ

How have these Prayer Cabins come to be?

Many of the prayer cabins has been provided for by a specific family in honor or memory of a loved one.  These families have provided/donated all the necessary funds and input to build the cabin. We work closely with each family to create a cabin fitting to our call and mission. You could also invest in hundreds of people’s lives by funding a cabin. Please contact Randy if interested.

Are there bathrooms in the prayer cabins?

Modern, lighted, heated, no smell outhouses are located close by.  Also, there is a fully modern shower house and flush toilets that serves the whole prayer cabins village.  See photos of the modern shower house and outhouses.
