The Principles and Values that Guide Our Ministries

Dependence

Dependence on God to meet all needs. From the beginning, Deuteronomy 16:17 (Let each man give as he is able, according to the blessing he has received from the Lord) has been the foundation upon which TWFM has based its financial policy. For over 43 years of operation, we have seen God provide for the needs of this ministry through his people.

Refuge and Peace

In Psalm 46:10 God the Father calls us to “Be still and know…” This is consistent with our key founding verse from Hosea 2:14-15a where God says, “I will take my children into the wilderness and there I will speak tenderly to them. I will restore their fruitfulness and will turn their valley of trouble into a door of hope.” Because our emphasis at TWFM is on creating and preserving an environment where people can come and sense God’s peace and presence, care is given to protect it from any intrusions.

Family-Type Hospitality

Family-type hospitality is an important part of ministry relationships. The staff of TWFM strives to treat each person as a part of their extended ministry family. This special place is for God’s children to use. As God desires to speak tenderly to his children, TWFM wants to expand its family and share the love of Jesus with each guest. Relationships are the lifeblood of effective ministry.

Debt Free

TWFM will move forward as the Lord provides. It is the policy and firm conviction of this ministry that the Lord will supply needs through the provision of finances. Therefore, TWFM will not borrow money and is committed to remain free of debt.

Servant Heart

The staff of TWFM is here to serve guests and care for their needs. By serving our guests, Christ – the ultimate example of servanthood – is also honored.
