I bet you’ve heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but have you ever heard of Giving Tuesday? If you haven’t, it’s a worldwide event taking place on Nov 27th organized to flip the focus from buying…. to impacting people’s lives by giving to your favorite charity, organization or cause.
Well, we’re jumping on board with Giving Tuesday this year in an effort to raise funds for a special project above and beyond our regular financial needs. Here’s the idea and here’s the need.
With Giving Tuesday coming Nov 27th, we are launching the “It Is Possible” campaign to raise the funds to build the next Prayer Cabin. The goal being $65,000.
We are so excited about how God is using these beautiful little cabins tucked in the woods to meet people’s need for a quiet place to meet with Jesus. The popularity and need for these little places of peace and refuge is huge. I’m convinced that if we had 20 of them to offer, they’d all be busy.
The Wilderness operates debt free and only on donations, trusting God to meet every need through the generosity of donors and guests. We have the builder waiting, the site picked, and a summer coming that could see the completion of cabin #7– if the funds come in. Would you help us?
