Couples Room
A place to foster growth in your relationship with Jesus Christ and each other.
There are 2 separate rooms (north and south) located within the fully modern Founders Fireside Retreat Center (FFRC) with access to modern bathrooms, showers and kitchen. These rooms are multi-functional, so have a number of beds in each room, including one queen size bed in each room, to make it comfortable for married couples. These rooms are available for advance bookings Monday – Thursday nights, but only available for weekend bookings on short notice, the week of arrival, if all Prayer Cabins are full and the FFRC is available. Check out time is noon all days except Sundays, when guests may leave later than noon.
Important Note
These two rooms can be booked singly or to two couples who know each other and are working together to book a weekend away. Since the bathrooms, kitchen area, eating and living areas are shared by those staying in these rooms, they will only be booked to a single couple or to two couples coming together. You need not worry about having to share space with another couple you have never met.
Amenities
Bathrooms, showers, fireplace, two large couches, tables, and chairs; heating and air conditioning; kitchen with full-size refrigerator, range, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Wi-Fi available for $15 if requested ahead of time and paid for at check-in.
Bedding to fit a queen size bed. As a point of health and consideration for all guests, please bring ONLY freshly washed and machine-dried bed linens, blankets, sleeping bags, and cases on pillows.
Also bring food, pots, pans (and anything you will need to prepare and eat your food), slippers for your feet, and some good reading material, including your Bible, and clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.
Who may use Couples Rooms?
Only married couples (see Policy definition).
Can I come before the 3 pm check-in time?
You are welcome to come enjoy The Wilderness, walk trails or sit by the lake, however, the earliest facility “check in” time is 3 pm. Please make every effort to keep the check in time you told us when you made your reservation and is on your confirmation email. If you are going to be late, please call and let us know your arrival time. (Please leave a message if no answer.)
Do you keep my credit card number on file?
We are able to keep your credit card on file in a safe, PCI-compliant manner. Rest assured the details of your credit card cannot be seen, shared, or accessed. We won’t make any charges to your credit card unless you incur a cancellation fee, and you will be notified of such.
Do you provide linens?
No, TWFM does not provide linens. You must bring your own bedding and pillows. As a point of health and consideration for all guests, please bring ONLY freshly washed and machine dried bed linens, blankets, sleeping bag, etc. Each Couples Room has one queen size bed and several bunk beds.
You must also provide your own towels and personal items.
How is the Couples Room kitchen equipped?
The Couples Room kitchen has a full-size range and refrigerator, microwave, toaster and a 12-cup coffee maker (bring your own coffee). There are NO utensils, pots, pans, dishes, dish cloths, towels or dish soap. Bring everything you need for preparing and eating your own food.
Is there Wi-Fi available in the Couples Room?
Yes, there is Wi-Fi available in the Couples Room. Ask for a Wi-Fi password when you check-in at the office for your reservation.
Do we need to bring our own pots, pans and utensils?
Yes, you need to bring everything you need to prepare and eat your own food, including pots, pans, utensils, dishes, hot pads, dish cloths, and dish soap.
Are pets allowed?
No pets or animals of any kind are allowed in any of our facilities. The only exception to this policy is a service animal.
Why do you ask for my credit card number?
We ask for your credit card number so that in the event of a cancellation or no-show, TWFM has a way of charging you a cancellation fee, according to our cancellation policy. Other than the cancellation fee, we do not charge anything to your credit card.
The Couples Room(s) are available to married couples on a donation basis. Advance reservations may only be made for Monday-Thursday. Friday and Saturday reservations available on short notice “call the day before” only basis. Please call us at 715-488-8564 for details and availability.
