Who are we?

This is a brief summary of the remarkable story of TWFM, sharing its history and present ministry, including the vision for the future. We're sure that after reading through these pages, you will also be excited about our dreams and plans and want to join us in making it all happen.

TWFM has been a place of recreation and refuge for thousands of people over the years. People of all ages - children, youth and adults - have met God through the ministry of TWFM and the use of these beautiful grounds.

There is no doubt that God has been in this ministry even before the dreams of Dick and Lois Klawitter, Founders of TWFM. And there is no doubt that He continues to work in the lives of many who spend time here seeking a refuge for their souls. And is there any doubt that God will be here in our future? We believe God wants TWFM to grow and increase in outreach to people? To keep this successful ministry going, we invite you to become a part of The Wilderness Fellowship family.

Letter From the Executive Director

A Foundation Laid... Future to Build Even before TWFM was begun, the property and buildings provided a physical base for what it is today. But more importantly a spiritual foundation was laid through Christ. While this campaign focuses on money and buildings we also recognize that our spiritual future rests on Jesus Christ. Building for the future means investing spiritually in the lives of people.
